The Beaver Creek Rodeo kicks off today, the first installment of a summer-long Thursday night series.
Events include bronc riding, team roping, barrel racing, bull riding and burro racing. Kids-only events include mutton bustin’ and the calf scramble.
There’s plenty of pre-rodeo fun for the kids, too, from face painting to pony rides. Those interested in competing in the rodeo need to get there at 5pm, just before the show begins.
Location: The Beaver Creek Rodeo is in Avon behind Chapel Square at Traer Creek. A continuous, free shuttle runs from 5 to 9pm from the Covered Bridge in Beaver Creek Village to the rodeo. Free parking is also available across the street from the rodeo grounds.
Dates: June 30, July 7, 14 and 21; August 4, 11 and 18
Prices: Chidren 12 and under are free, Youth (13-17) $10, Adults (18-64) $17, Seniors (ages 65+) $12. VIP Seating is $22.
